While at Grosvenor James was responsible for the company’s land interests at the Abbey Stadium for over ten years. While maintaining a supportive commercial stance and establishing a trusted relationship with the CUFC Board a series of development options were considered and promoted, including with potential public sector investment. Ultimately it was decided to transfer the freehold interest to the club’s owners in doing so securing onward investment and the future of the site as the home of CUFC.
